CULTIVATION PERIOD:

CULTIVATION TECHNIQUES:
Integrated crop production in open field.
DESCRIPTION:
This is a delicious, colourful and healthy food.
It has an elongated oval head with intense, bright green, spoon-shaped leaves. It has a crunchy heart that is not completely closed. Its weight varies between 350 and 500 grams.
HEALTH ADVANTAGES:
This lettuce is rich in fibre, potassium and vitamins A and C. It also contains moderate quantities of vitamin D, E and K, calcium, phosphorous, magnesium and sulphur. In general, the more intense green the lettuce is, the greater its nutritional content. Romaine lettuce contains more than any other variety. It has a laxative effect and has analgesic and sedative properties. Due to its low calorie content it is particularly suited for use in weight-loss diets.
USES IN THE KITCHEN:
It is used as a side dish and to decorate meat or fish dishes. It is also served alone or accompanied by other vegetables or aromatic herbs. As vinegar tears the leaves, we recommend dressing it with lemon.
